Cooking up baby food at home is easier than you think. Plus, it’s economical. Instead of purchasing pre-made baby food off the store shelves, why not try it at home? All you need is a tool like a baby food processor and steamer to properly mix your items to the right consistency.

Choose fresh fruits and veggies and use them within a couple of days to maximize the amount of vitamins absorbed.. To get the freshest items, buy when in season. If there’s something you’re interested in cooking up, use frozen fruits and veggies.
Here are some recipes to get you started:
Mango Puree
Ingredients:
1 or 2 ripe mangos
Preparation method:
Put water in the blending bowl until mark 1. Put it in the steamer compartment.
Peel the mango and slice it into chunks. Put in the basket and hang the basket in the steamer compartment.
Steam.
Drain, do not save the juices.
Blend.
Rice and Sugar Snaps
Ingredients:
3 tablespoon rice
Hot water
A small hand full of sugar snaps
1 tablespoon oil
Preparation method:
Put water in the steam heating compartment until mark 3 of the blending bowl
Put the rice and pasta cooker in the blending bowl. Then fill it with the rice and put the sugar snaps on top. Then put the hot water in the rice and pasta cooker.
Steam.
Blend the rice with the sugar snaps, a small part of the cooking fluid and a tablespoon oil.
Cinnamon Apple Pear Sauce with Mint
Ingredients:
1 organic pear
1 red apple (or apple of your choice)
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of mint leaves
Preparation method:
Remove the cores of both the apple and pear, then chop them into medium sized pieces for the blender. Add remaining ingredients – including the apple and pear. Blend until smooth.
Peach and Nutmeg Surprise
Ingredients:
1 peach peeled and sliced
4 ounces natural plain yogurt organic
1 drop vanilla essence
1 pinch nutmeg
1 drop maple syrup optional
Preparation method:
Pour peaches into Babycook steam basket.
Fill water reservoir with water Level 2 and steam cook peaches.
After steam cycle is complete, pour peaches and juices into bowl with nutmeg, yogurt, vanilla, and maple syrup (optional).
Blend to desired consistency.
